Custom software, AI agents and technology operations for small businesses in Dallas-Fort Worth
From a practice based here.
Genesis Flow Labs is a technology practice based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, run by Shafen Khan. It builds custom software, AI agents, and the technology operations behind them for small businesses and practices, typically 5 to 50 people, across healthcare, tax, real estate, and professional services. Every build is a fixed price in writing before any work begins. There is no hourly billing, and the client owns what is built.

Three DFW businesses, by name
Each one has its own case study. How I am related to each business is stated on the card, because you would find it in one search anyway.

who it is for
Small businesses that need it to hold
Small businesses and practices across healthcare, tax, real estate, and professional services. The common thread is operators who need technology that actually works, not another vendor who disappears after launch.
Practices
Healthcare, tax, and professional offices where new business arrives through the phone, a form, a referral email, and the front door, and somebody retypes all of it.

What working together looks like
- 01
You tell me what is not working
Email, form, or a call. Your own words, not a requirements document.
- 02
An honest read within 48 hours
Sometimes it is yes. Sometimes it is that you do not need me, and here is what to do instead.
- 03
A scope document with a fixed price
Written before any work begins. If the scope changes, we talk about it before I bill for it.
- 04
I build. You see progress.
You see working software as it comes together, not a big reveal at the end.
- 05
Handoff or ongoing. Your call.
You own everything. Keep me on a monthly retainer to run it, or take it in-house.
If you are local, we can meet in person. Otherwise most of it happens over email, calls, and messaging. A larger build has more moving parts: here is how one runs.
what it costs
A fixed price for a defined result, in writing, before work starts.
The number comes after a short conversation about the actual problem, in writing, and you own what it pays for.
- One well-defined workflow
- Fixed price, in writingTo build. You own it.
- Two or three connected workflows
- Fixed price, in writingTo build, as one project.
- Ongoing management, optional
- Fixed monthly priceAgreed in writing.
Everything is priced as a project against a defined outcome. There is no hourly rate, because an hourly rate prices my time rather than your result. You get the number in writing before any work begins, and it does not change unless the scope does.
Property management websites are priced the same way, on their own page.

AI intake for a DFW professional office: chatbot vs intake form
A chatbot answers questions. An intake system captures the people who are ready to become clients and puts them where your staff already works. How to tell which one you are being sold, what each costs, and what breaks.

Asked and answered
Is Genesis Flow Labs actually based in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Yes. Genesis Flow Labs is based in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas. I work with clients locally and remotely, and I am available for in-person meetings in the DFW area.
Do you only work with DFW businesses?
No. I am based in Dallas-Fort Worth and work with clients remotely too. Most communication happens over email, calls, and messaging. If you are local, we can meet in person.
Which Dallas-Fort Worth businesses have you built for?
Three have their own case study on this site. Kanam Realty Group is a DFW property management company and a client; I also work with its owner outside that build. TaxSquare is a DFW tax practice that I co-founded. Legacy OBGYN is a DFW OB/GYN practice and a client, not arms-length.
What does a first project cost?
A fixed price for a defined result, in writing, before work starts. Everything is priced as a project against a defined outcome, and the number does not change unless the scope does. There is no hourly rate.
Who owns the software when the project is done?
You do. The code, the domain, and the data. Where it runs is written in the scope: your account, or mine with a handover plan. If you want me to stay and run it, we move to a monthly retainer. If you want to take it in-house, I make sure your team can. No vendor lock-in.
How quickly will I hear back?
Within 48 hours you get an honest read on whether I can help and what it would take. Sometimes the answer is that you do not need me for this, and I will tell you what to do instead.
